Leo 21-22 A Carrier Pigeon

I am a big believer in birds bringing messages from the universe and this is captured in the Carrier Pigeon symbol.
If we look at signs of the universe, birds represent spirit. For example, as I continued to do personal development work, over several years, the birds in my garden changed. We used to have magpies and mynahs, that latter representing bad manners and trespassing boundaries. This was a big lesson for me, as I was putting others first and not creating boundaries (which I thought only "selfish" people did, not realising that my judgements were telling me I needed to learn that very thing myself), and as a typical do-gooder, not respecting other people's boundaries and trying to nosily "fix" them rather than let them navigate their life lessons as they thought best. Once I learned this, the birds changed to little wrens (independence), and pigeons (peace) and one day a honey-eater came by which had me doing victory laps! Honey-eaters, for me personally, are about shields - letting what you want in, and keeping what you don't want out - so I felt I had "passed" the life course in boundaries :)

So birds were confirming where I was at in life, but there are other instances where they have given me warning messages - a cockatoo doing a little loop in front of my car window while I was driving to a friends house, to let me know her 6 year-old daughter was home instead of at school, due to sickness (I didn't really like this kid, not gonna lie).
A noisy black crow flying over our house, letting me know myself and the kids were playing too loud outside and it was annoying my sleeping, night-shift-working husband, who appeared at the door within 30 seconds trying not to look annoyed. Those 30 seconds allowed me to shush the kids and compose an innocent look on my face lol!

If we look at the cross of 21-22 Leo/ Scorpio/ Aquarius/ Taurus, the carrier pigeon brings a message, a thought, an idea from some part of spirit. The Scorpio 21-22 Hunters Starting Out For Ducks energy seems to be about aligning action to intention. I want, therefore I do. The ducks as birds could represent spiritual gain, or they simply could mean food to nourish our physical body. In any case, the energy of the symbol is a focussed one, using all resources (thought, action, desire) toward some gain.

Scorpio's opposite symbol is Taurus 21-22 White Dove Over Troubled Waters which in comparison to the Scorpio symbol, is about the energy of two entities - emotional disturbance and the spiritual peace. We have available to us our own emotional resources that make our decisions and create movement, as well as the ability to see a larger picture.
A difficult aspect of this symbol might be: how do I preserve my spiritual gain despite living in my body with its hormones, reactions to others etc? There can be a sense of self-disassociation or splitting, and may be shown in bonding patterns with others e.g. you try to be the calm person in a workplace seething with drama, or vice versa, and may feel that you have "fallen" if you "get sucked in" to the drama.
I feel that the lesson of this symbol is to claim both aspects of yourself, and also encouragement that you can handle both aspects of yourself! A friend of mine with this symbol has told me she is not academic, and I wonder why she has that belief (because from the outside looking in, she is definitely academic. Not only intelligent, insightful etc, but actually academic in its sense of reading, research, connecting ideas and references - all higher-order thinking stuff). Is it time to claim that higher aspect of herself? Likewise if you are someone focussed on your higher aspects - is it time to claim your physical and emotional aspects, and value what they bring to your life experience? When you claim aspects of yourself, you are claiming your power.

Finally the Aquarius 21-22 A Rug Placed On A Floor For Children To Play symbol bridges the dove and duck symbols as it is an arena that allows for a creative process to occur. Did you get shot down by hunters? Oh well, try a new incarnation and see how that goes! Fell into the sea? Oh well, grow a stronger set of wings and see how that goes! If you are the hunter, the mat is a place to hone your skills each time you l(earn) on the hunt. I imagine the mat is where we can safely integrate aspects of ourselves, play with them according to whatever imaginary scenario we conjure up. When we are ready to leave the safety of home, we can start out for ducks and really go for what we want in life, or in the other direction we can make play "real" and go out into the world with the tools and toys we chose/claimed from the mat, and enjoy the thrill of trying to survive without the safety of a mat, a "sink or swim" situation, where our own selves are our leverage in a situation.

The Leo Carrier Pigeon is still available as a messenger from the universe - letting us know when the time is right to "go for it" (Scorpio), when the time is right to leave the nest (Aquarius), and where you are at in your relationship to your internal resources (Taurus).
