For some background on this symbol, Ardath is apparently the name of a prophet in the Apocryphyl Latin Esdras (which are ancient biblical texts that have not been canonised).

It has also been mentioned in a novel by Marie Corelli who was a popular novelist at the time Elsie Wheeler was alive (her death was in 1925, the same year that these symbols were channelled). Her book "Ardath: The Story Of A Dead Self" has been described as a "crazy late-nineteenth-century symbolist trope thrown into a blender and set on high. It's WILD. It's essentially a high-concept Orientalist fantasy smothered in the author's own blend of artist-as-priest Christian mysticism" by a fan (Ericavee) on Goodreads.com. In the book, Ardath is a waste-field near Babylon that the hero of the book must find as part of a transformative quest.
So there's that.

I would really be interested if someone made sense out of this symbol, during their karmic journey!

Aquarius 29 - 30

For me Ardath is represented in the movie Avatar, a civilisation trying to work with, respect and understand nature are confronted with mechanisation.
Maybe this is our animal primal natures trying to keep up with progress.
As our work load decreases physically, this leaves time for the once survival mode psyche to need distraction, which is coming in an endless variety of forms of which in the current climate most of us are mere bystanders.
Everything from colouring in,movies,fast food, shopping malls,holidays, as far removed from nature as you can get.
In the heat we retreat to air conditioned cars,houses,work places etc.
We seem to like to receive more and do less.
Parents both work full time to keep the lifestyle going, children are placed in long day care for hours (receiving education from an early age).
Leisure, partying and hype are revered and slow methodical discipline low down on the priority list.
Health care systems are over burdened with chronic disease created from overindulgent lifestyles, as the current introduction of machines has left the human being at a loss to his purpose.
Rubbish tips are growing, forests are depleting and people are becoming unwell.
The current trend of tiny houses, recycling, vegan and more paced lifestyles is a relief from the days of the past.
My partner has his Earth on this degree...and he loves the birds, trees, song of the wind and rhythm of the earth.
He doesn't preach it to people, it is just him. His dharma in life.
"Morning of the Earth" being a favourite movie,laying under trees and surfing consuming most of his leisure time.
Is Ardath the blooming of the human spirit becoming at one with the fields of their nature, basking in our natural glory of love.
Those moments when one is happy just to be.
Stillness, the breath between breaths.

Part of Bondage and the Part of Service

I have to give Dane Rudhyar the credit for making the correct call concerning this particular degree of the Zodiac and his published alternative description for the Sabian Symbol.
As I am someone familiar with the existence of the "White Lodge" aka "The Great White Brotherhood" as to having had enough first hand experiences to become one hundred and one percent convinced of their existence being the reason why I write that Dane did us all great favor as to why and as to how he re-imaged this particular Sabian from as it was originally given by Miss Wheeler.
As Dane described it in his book "An Astrological Mandala"
"DEEPLY ROOTED IN THE PAST OF A VERY ANCIENT CULTURE, A SPIRITUAL BROTHERHOOD IN WHICH MANY INDIVIDUAL MINDS ARE MERGED INTO THE GLOWING LIGHT OF A UNANIMOUS CONSCIOUSNESS IS REVEALED TO ONE WHO HAS EMERGED SUCCESSFULLY FROM HIS METAMORPHOSIS."
You may have heard of me and the book I wrote by now...maybe not. I have been kept from the publics' attention through continuous effort by those that would have much to loose if my work were to become well known of.
The book I wrote is titled "A Template for the Time. The Astrological Birth Chart of Jesus" Hidden Mysteries, TGS Publishing Frankston, Texas. It is a difficult book to obtain as my publisher closed shop about a year and a half ago due to legal issues with a few of his authors. It is in need of revision and I have a revised edition ready for publication and am presently seeking another publisher for that effort
While many have rejected the books material for a myriad of reasons there are many of an ever growing number that have come to the realization of its validity.
The reason I chose such a title is that it is a template from which to gain astrological insight, rectification and expand our understanding of true astrological technique and knowledge. One of the new insights is that Astrological Parts, Arabic, trans-Saturnian, Hermetic Lots, et al, are symbolically active.
Two of the known Astrological Parts that I derived from the aforementioned birth chart so happen to fall within the 30th degree of Aquarius. They are the Part of Bondage and the Part of [Spiritual] Service. Why do I add the word "Spiritual"? It's because that is what the Astrological Part is truly about. Just as the Part of Inheritance and Legacy is not about the antique China your departed Aunt left you in her Last Will but rather it is about ones spiritual inheritance.
Just as the Part of Fortune is not about worldly wealth but rather about what can provide the most fortuitous circumstances to assist us in fulfilling our dharma here in this present life.
The Part of Fortune derived from that birth chart happens to fall in the 19th degree of Pisces, [ibid.] "A MASTER INSTRUCTING HIS DISCIPLE." That same degree is where-in falls my Part of Inheritance and Legacy.
My book was published under the name of David Mastry. I am also known as Devananda to my fellow yogis. I am a Free Quaker by birth, a sishya of the bij, OM, since 1968, as explained by Swami Sivananda in his book on Japa Yoga, I am also a protectorate of the Sadhan Order of Yoga of India under the protective auspice of Sri Prabhu Ram Lal. I have been a student [as we all are] of astrology since 1984.

Restitutum

I returned to heal 2 past life karmas where family, friends and co-workers had stolen from me, harmed me, affected my life, career, and future, both times leaving me in destitute circumstances and poverty. The 'field of Ardath' represents physical places I lived in past incarnations where I lost a part of myself--as in Shamanic soul loss or in other words...trauma where a part of my personality split off, remaining there for me to later retrieve, heal, and reintegrate. My health and relationships suffered. In 29 Aquarius, I again suffered false judgement as in past lives via others. It was a true karmic veiled remembrance which was made to be eeked out slowly to learn from. There was a lot of psychological release in the healing process and interaction with troublesome people from those lifetimes in different ways. Knowledge and understanding came in waves not all at once. It is good to extend forgiveness and move on.
Ardath is meant as a Healing measure, not a harming one. Though you may go through disturbances to create the necessary healing and information needed for your soul growth and reintegration as your karma is clearing.
Ardath represents actual places on Earth where you physically journey to, (another country from birth, or another part of the country you live in). This is where you have previously lost a part of your soul you are now working on reincorporating back into your personality and energy. You will also do soul and psychological work to heal the lingering energy of the karma itself so you can move forward to live the life you came to live becoming more whole within your personality. I was meant to have restitution in this lifetime. My career (Past Life Astrology, Readings, and Reiki/Energy/Crystal Healing), and the personal relationships I have are paramount in my life and viewpoint. I worked through and released the past which was a huge and exhausting undertaking. I have come through the hole in the wall. x
