Once.
Hawks.
This cross relates to how we reveal
our authentic selves, rather than the development of selves explored in 00-01
Aries/Cancer/Libra/Capricorn.
Aries’ man succeeds in his expression,
indicating alignment and integrity in his expression. The two realms could be: physical/spiritual,
intention/action (walk your talk), micro/macro (small steps in line with the
bigger goal), for example. Another way
of interpreting this symbol is that Aries’ man expresses himself in two ways,
one for each realm, such as polite with one group of people and trolling with
another!
Cancer’s fairies see each other in the
secret of moonlight—which is most powerful with magic—rather than the sun.
Libra’s woman performs dual roles of nurturer
and protector out of necessity for her chickens’ wellbeing (and benefitting
with eggs or meat rather than her competition, the hawks).
Capricorn’s prophet has decided to keep
power veiled, all the better to profit from it and escape any persecution, or
to protect others from the intensity of a full revelation.
All the symbols have subjects that know who
they are (or in Libra's case, what they've got). All except for Aries seem to
conduct themselves carefully, half hidden e.g. veiled, protected or in
moonlight. If we were to think of Aries
as being two different people in two different realms, then this suits the
careful and hidden aspect of the cross because Aries’ man is, in a sense, a
shapeshifter to blend in, though the two shapes are authentic selves.
If we think of Aries’ symbol as ‘out and
proud’ rather than blending in, then Aries shows us that at some stage we can
fully reveal our authentic selves successfully.
Journeying the cross, we act differently yet authentically in different groups (Aries) such as family or work colleagues. In Cancer we secretly partner with someone who ‘magically’ intuits us, or we keep secret from most a magical aspect of ourselves, and nurture and protect this magic (Libra) until it reaches its height of power while veiled (Capricorn) before finding release in integrated outward expression (Aries).
