08-09 Aries/Cancer/Libra/Capricorn cross

  • Aries: A Crystal Gazer.
  • Cancer: A Tiny Nude Miss Reaching In The Water For A Fish.
  • Libra: Three Old Masters Hanging In An Art Gallery.
  • Capricorn: An Angel Carrying A Harp.

Aries’ crystal gazer looks at a vision, usually the future—for in divinatory arts this symbol evokes the crystal ball—or to clarify the present.  What do they see in the crystal?

Using dream theory, a crystal ball suggests looking for direction in life or represents one's outlook of the future. Seeing instead a crystal "signifies wholeness, purity, healing, development and unity. It represents your higher Self. The dream may be a metaphor for something in your life that is crystallizing or taking shape.  To dream that you are looking into a crystal represents how you are looking within yourself to find your true destiny. Alternatively, it indicates your outlook of the future" (dreammoods.com).

Aries’ crystal gazer connects with Libra’s artists who executed visions over their life and honed their craft to become masters.  While Aries looks for a vision, Libra’s masters have worked to successfully realize and manifest them.

The number three also represents the spiritual ascended masters such as Jesus, Buddha, and Kwan Yin (Virtue, 2008).

"An art gallery represents your past experiences. Something in your past is having an impact in your current situation. Alternatively, the dream may be telling you that you need to capture some moment and preserve it" (dreammoods.com).

Capricorn’s dream interpretation of angel and harp expands on Aries’ and Libra’s symbols.  The harp represents spiritual harmony and healing—otherwise it represents nagging and ‘harping’ on someone (dreammoods.com), though well-meaning as denoted by the angel.  The musical instrument in the symbol works with the Arts focus in Libra’s gallery.

Cancer’s nude Miss connects with the Arts as a nude model; but the context of the symbol evokes a water sprite instead.  "To see fish swimming in your dream signifies insights from your subconscious mind. Thus, to catch a fish represents insights which have been brought to the surface" (dreammoods.com) and nudity represents vulnerability.

This cross has a collection of guides: divinatory arts (Aries), elementals such as sprites (Cancer), angels (Capricorn) and ascended masters who have walked on Earth to help you understand your journey (Libra).  The cross could reduce to this simpler meaning (as for the 03-04 Taurus/Leo/Scorpio/Aquarius cross) but movement in the symbols—gazing, reaching, carrying—demands a deeper interpretation.

Generally speaking, the journey begins with seeking a vision from the inner self (Aries), reaching for insights (Cancer) to render past experiences in their best spiritual representation (Libra) for inner harmony and healing (Capricorn).

More practically, the cross shows us that once we see a vision (Aries) we need to make the effort no matter how small (Cancer) to do what needs to be done one step at a time, one fish at a time sustaining ourselves in our daily life (Cancer) whether or not we feel we are small in comparison to the wider world and stretch of life (Cancer).  Eventually we create a body of work as masterpieces (Libra) that bring us personal fulfilment (Capricorn), balance and ascension.

If we define Capricorn’s angel as representing heaven, the link from Capricorn to Aries is that before birth, we gaze (Aries) at various life situations that could help us evolve our soul.  We choose one, birth, then do what we need to do (Cancer to Libra).
