How do we gain our wisdom?

Aries’ flock of wild geese learn by the trial and error of living, with only their own instincts and group guidance to protect them.  When we live instinctually, we are constantly in the moment.

Cancer’s baby has a message—truth comes ‘out of the mouths of babes’.  With their own interests and fresh eyes, they teach us new perspectives.

Libra’s miners work in the belly of the earth and now emerge into the light, a metaphor for emerging from our subconscious with treasures from the darkness.  Our shadow sides release energy and gifts for us if we know how to handle them.  This symbol connects with the birthing aspect of Cancer’s baby.

Capricorn’s student describes their own experiences and observations of nature, and in so doing, teaches others what the student most needs to learn. 

The cross has interesting pairs:

• Cancer and Libra share emergence and birthing

• Aries and Libra share a sense of freedom.

The cross seems to say we are creatures of experience and we learn by living.  Every moment, even when brand new (Cancer), is an opportunity to teach and learn.
