A note on the picture of Pocahontas: notice that in this picture King James does not look at her? There are many versions of the Pocahontas story, and in most it seems that King James did not want to meet her or recognise her. In England she seemed to be the representive her people, and clearly colonialism does not respect the invaded peoples.
